A Comissão de Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Câmara dos Deputados aprovou em dezembro do ano ado proposta que define como crime manter animais silvestres, domésticos ou domesticados presos permanentemente com correntes, cordas ou objetos similares que prejudiquem a saúde, a segurança e o bem-estar do animal. Foi aprovado o Projeto de Lei 3077/24 , que altera a Lei de Crimes Ambientais .
Segundo o texto, a prática será equiparada ao crime de maus tratos de animais, com pena prevista de três meses a um ano de detenção e multa.
Autor do projeto, o deputado Delegado Matheus Laiola (União-PR) afirma que o acorrentamento pode aumentar o risco de morte dos animais em situações de emergência, como desastres naturais, incêndios e acidentes.
Relator no colegiado, o deputado Bruno Ganem (Pode-SP) concordou com o autor. “É inegável que a restrição severa dos movimentos de um animal por meio de correntes ou cordas pode causar sofrimento físico e psicológico”, disse o relator.
Próximas etapas A proposta será ainda analisada pela Comissão de Constituição e Justiça e de Cidadania, seguindo depois para votação no Plenário. Para virar lei, o texto precisa ser aprovado pela Câmara e pelo Senado.
